Projects, programs, and services supported by you
Facility Dogs
Through our donor-supported B.A.R.K. (Brave and Resilient Kids) Buddies NutriSource Facility Dog program, facility dogs Fern and Tasha help kids engage in therapy and rehabilitation after illness or surgery, provide comfort during scary moments, and calm anxious children during stressful procedures. Alongside their certified child life specialist handlers, our therapy dogs bring smiles to every floor of our children's hospital – and the program is only possible because of generous contributions from the community.
Kyle Rudolph's End Zone
Whether they're there for a quick visit or a long hospitalization, kids and teens who are spending time in the hospital need a place to unwind. Designed with tweens and teens in mind, the End Zone is a therapeutic play space featuring a sports simulator, a video game lounge, a basketball hoop, a community kitchen, and many other activities and areas – all made possible thanks to a generous gift from former Minnesota Vikings player Kyle Rudolph, his wife Jordan Rudolph, and many other remarkable community partners.
The Zucker Family Suite and Broadcast Studio
The Zucker Family Suite and Broadcast Studio includes a theater where young patients and families can watch games on the big screen. It also serves as our in-hospital broadcast studio, where patients and staff create engaging, interactive programs for the families under our care. Former Minnesota Wild player Jason Zucker and his wife Carly Zucker helped design the space and supported its development with the #Give16 fundraising campaign.
Adopt-a-Room Program
When a child is critically ill, the whole family's world is changed. Through our Adopt-a-Room Program, donors can sponsor a private, customized room designed according to evidence-based guidelines for family-centered care, healing, sophisticated infection control, and smart-room technology. From heartwarming décor to in-room video conferencing and entertainment options, these unique rooms help families navigate their child's serious illness or injury in comfort together.
Quinn Seymour Chapel
Inspired by their daughter Quinn, Mark and Mandy Seymour and their son Camden raised funds to support the creation of a nondenominational chapel at our children’s hospital. The Quinn Seymour Chapel is a serene and inclusive space where patients, families, and visitors alike can pause for a quiet moment of prayer or reflection.
The Blythe Brenden-Mann Foundation Wellness Center
To help promote the practice of self-care -- and to provide parents and families with some much-needed support in the hospital -- M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital partnered with the Blythe Brenden-Mann Foundation in 2017 to open the Blythe Brenden-Mann Foundation Wellness Center. Located on the fifth floor of the hospital, the Wellness Center includes an exercise area, a salon, and an integrative therapies space. The center also hosts educational programs for families.
