Uveitis, a type of inflammation in the eye, is a group of disorders that can cause permanent vision loss without treatment. For the most successful outcome, children with uveitis need a coordinated approach with an ophthalmologist and rheumatologist for evaluation of underlying causes and treatment of inflammation.

The Pediatric Uveitis Program at M Health Fairview Minnesota Lions Children’s Eye Clinic combines the expertise of ophthalmology specialists in uveitis, pediatric ophthalmologists, and pediatric rheumatology specialists to provide same-day management of pediatric uveitis.
