Repetitive motion injuries are tissue injuries that occur as a result of repeated motions. They are among the most common injuries in the United States.

Overview

Repetitive use injuries can affect the wrists, elbows, fingers, back, shoulders, neck, arms, and even legs. The injury often begins with a feeling of discomfort. You may notice swelling or muscle fatigue that doesn't go away with rest. Some people feel tingling or numbness. At first the discomfort may come and go. But with time, symptoms may become constant. Muscle weakness and nerve problems may develop.
