M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital traces its legacy back to 1911. Our current hospital facility opened in 2011 and was collaboratively designed with children and their families. The 254-bed hospital provides a beautiful, innovative space for the entire family that aims to address the physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs of pediatric patients and their families as they heal. The hospital’s eco-friendly design focuses on efficiency, sustainability, state-of-the-art technology, safety, and family-centered care.

Driving Directions
- From the North: Take Interstate 35W south to the Washington Avenue exit. Turn left. Follow the street as it bends right and becomes Cedar Avenue. Turn left onto Riverside Avenue. Proceed to 25th Avenue.
- From the South: Take Interstate 35W north to Interstate 94 east. Exit at 25th Avenue, then turn left. Continue one block to Riverside Avenue.
- From the East: Take Interstate 94 west to the Riverside Avenue exit (Exit 235A), then turn right. Proceed one block to 25th Avenue.
- From the West: Take Interstate 94 west to the 25th Avenue exit, then turn left. Continue one block to Riverside Avenue.
Parking
The Green Garage ramp for patients and visitors who wish to self-park is located underneath M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital. Patients and visitors who self-park will receive the reduced hospital parking rate automatically – no ticket validation needed.

We encourage patients and visitors to take advantage of our valet parking service, which is the same price as self-parking. Valet parking, located at the hospital entrance, is available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you have any questions about valet parking, please email MHValet@cornerstoneparking.com.
We also offer discounted parking passes, which are available in various increments beginning at a 5 day pass. Passes enable parking at a reduced rate on the UMMC campuses. Parking passes can be purchased in the following locations:

Blythe Brenden-Mann Foundation Wellness Center
To help promote the practice of self-care – and to provide parents and families with some much-needed support in the hospital – M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital partnered with the Blythe Brenden-Mann Foundation in 2017 to open the Blythe Brenden-Mann Foundation Wellness Center. Located on the fifth floor of the hospital, the Wellness Center includes an exercise area, a salon, and an integrative therapies space. The center also hosts educational programs for families.
John A. Sullivan Playground
Play is crucial for children’s well-being, and at the John A. Sullivan Playground, children can enjoy outdoor play, even while they’re in the hospital. The animal-themed design gives children and families a break from the hospital environment to relax and rejuvenate. The playground was designed with adaptive equipment for children with medical or mobility devices. The playground was made possible in part by generous donors, including former Minnesota Vikings Center John Sullivan, for whom the playground is named.
Kyle Rudolph’s End Zone
Whether they’re there for a quick visit or a long hospitalization, kids and teens who are spending time in the hospital need a place to unwind. Designed with both children and teens in mind, the End Zone is a therapeutic play space featuring a sports simulator, a video game lounge, a basketball hoop, a community kitchen, a behavioral health discovery wall and many other activities and areas – all made possible thanks to a generous gift from former Minnesota Vikings player Kyle Rudolph, his wife Jordan Rudolph, and many other remarkable community partners.
Love Your Melon Family Resource Center
The Love Your Melon Family Resource Center is an oasis for families and young patients who need a reprieve from daily challenges. Set off from the children’s hospital lobby, the resource center stocks books, magazines, DVDs, and video games for use by patients and families. It also offers free use of computers and printers, and staff can assist with health information searches. The Family Resource Center will soon be updated, thanks to a generous gift from long-time partner Love Your Melon, the resource center also serves as the focal point for many of the hospital’s patient-oriented events.
Quinn Seymour Chapel
Inspired by their daughter Quinn, Mark and Mandy Seymour and their son Camden raised funds to support the creation of a nondenominational chapel at our children’s hospital. The Quinn Seymour Chapel is a serene and inclusive space where patients, families, and visitors alike can pause for a quiet moment of prayer or reflection.
Sports Ngin Sport Court
Exercise is a fundamental part of a healthy life, and for long-term corporate donor Sport Ngin, youth sports is key to children and families’ well-being. The outdoor Sports Ngin Sports Court is an accessible space that children of all abilities, and their families, can enjoy. The sport courts features an adjustable basketball hoop that can accommodate different levels of strength and ability, space to play Four Square, and a nine-dot space for many collaborative games. The court can be used for children and families to take a break and play, as well as for physical therapy and therapeutic recreation.
Wilf Family Center and Auditorium
Made possible by a generous donation from Wilf Family Foundation, the Wilf Family Center includes an auditorium, conference center, and telehealth facility. Designed to accommodate patient needs and medical equipment, the auditorium hosts patients and their families for movie premieres, special performances, and opportunities to meet local celebrities including the Minnesota Vikings, the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, and members from other sports teams. Young patients unable to leave their rooms can enjoy the events through in-hospital broadcasting.
Zucker Family Suite and Broadcast Center
The Zucker Family Suite and Broadcast Studio serves as our in-hospital broadcast studio and the home of ZTV, where patients and staff create engaging, interactive programs for the families under our care. The studio can also be used as a theater suite for patients to view sporting events on the big screen. Former Minnesota Wild player Jason Zucker and his wife Carly Zucker helped design the space and supported its development with the #Give16 fundraising campaign.
