The M Health Fairview Pediatric Exercise Physiology Lab at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital uses exercise testing (often referred to as stress testing) to evaluate a patient’s heart, lungs, and physical response to exertion.

Treatments for Pediatric Exercise Physiology Lab

There is an immense list of conditions and reasons to get an exercise test, including: symptoms that occur with exercise (chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness etc.), decreased or poor exercise tolerance, exercise-induced asthma, congenital heart disease, evaluation of blood pressure and heart rate response, assessment following initiation of a medication, family history of cardiomyopathy, pre/post-procedure evaluation, pectus excavatum, asthma, and more.
