M Health Fairview Addiction Medicine service specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and recovery of individuals with substance use disorders (SUD). We have a multi-disciplinary and diverse team to serve any/all needs related to substance use and mental health concerns.
Overview
Our whole-person approach supports long-term recovery. Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT), which includes medications for withdrawal symptoms and cravings, are regularly prescribed by our medical providers.
Our approach
The term “addiction” does not apply to all our patients. We serve people that are using substances and want to find a healthier approach to those substances. Most of the time this involves abstinence (zero substance use), however this is not required to be part of our program. We regularly employ Harm Reduction strategies and help harness the unique motivations of each patient.
